- General Rules
- All staff who works for the oxidation furnace (24 skilled workers) must study carefully about all the relevant knowledge, such as quality management, smelting technology & safe production, etc. Study hard about the technology, improve the production craft & reduce the cost in order to improve the company's economic benefit.
- Post Responsibility:
- The responsibility of the Furnace Manager
- Be mainly responsible for all the work on the oxidation furnace, control the working progress & make sure if all the economic & technical specifications have been achieved.
- Organize all the staff to study production technology, proceed technical innovation and labor competition and complete all the tasks arranged by the company on time.
- Inspect, supervise and coordinate the production work of each shift and make sure that all the tools, equipment and light, etc. are complete and good.
- Deal with all the problems coming out during the process of the production in time and master all the data concerning to the quality in order to guarantee the quantity and quality stable.
- Keep the furnace safe, clean and civilized and obey the shift change rules.
1.2.2 Shift leader is responsible for all the work in his/her shift. Do finish the production task with high quality and keep the working place clean and tidy according to the Management Rules on the Working Place. Take a good record of the shift change and the original production
1.2.3 It is the duty for the furnace man to do the routine works, like heating up the furnace, furnace operation, preparing material, discharging of bottom lead slag, prepare coal and dealing with problems.
2. The requirement for fuels and materials.

3. Furnace start up
3.1 Furnace heat up and preparation
3.1.1. After construction of the furnace to heat up for 1-2days and let its temperature rise up gradually. At the same time, start the exhaust gas fan.
3.1.2. When the temperature is rising up, workers should put alloys into the furnace and observe the status of the alloys melting carefully. Once the furnace is full of the alloy fluid, then stop putting alloys and prepare for furnace operation.
3.2 Normal furnace operations
3.2.1 When the pot is full of the alloy fluid, and the temperature reaches at 6500C, skimming the floating dregs in the furnace, start the blast fan and exhaust fan at same time. At the same time, add coal to the furnace chamber to guarantee the temperature of the alloy(6500C+50)0C. Remember to add alloy into the furnace according to the height of the alloy fluid.
3.2.3. It is ok to begin normal production when the antimonial platinum's temperature reaching at 930C after start up of the furnace. Pay attention to the temperature changes and feed materials with 10-40 pieces of alloys every two or four hours. The temperature is controlled at (6500C+50)0C
3.2.4 Take samples from the furnace for one or two times every day. When the antimony containing in the alloy is less than 15%, then stop blasting and exhausting. Discharging bottom lead by 2-4MT, then supplemented with alloys with flaming fire. When the temperature is ok, begin blow wind and start up exhausting to continue the production.
3.2.5 Pay attention to the temperature change time to time when producing. Make a good control of the temperature of the furnace chamber and the alloy. Skim the floating dregs in the furnace at the same time.
4. How to deal with problems
4.1 Stop blasting and exhausting when the temperature is lower than 6000C and the flaming fire in the furnace chamber can make the temperature rise to (6500C+50)0C.
4.2 When the temperature higher than 7000C, an stop blasting and exhausting, together with adding alloys or open the furnace chamber gate to let the temperature low down to (6500C+50)0C.
4.3 Stop firing when the oxidation furnace is broken, leaking lead or the furnace chamber is broken. Before stopping the fire, do open the valve at the bottom and let the entire bottom lead come out. Only the oxidation furnace is mended well, it can be used in the next circulation.
