Purchasing Nickel Materiels
1.Purchasing Categories
Two categories: Nickel and nickel alloy scraps,non-alloyed nickel scraps.
Nickel and nickel alloy scraps include pure nickel scraps and nickel alloy scraps.
Non-alloyed nickel scraps include waste nickel powder, waste battery materials, nickel mud, waste nickel accelerant, rough nickel salt and nickel dross, nickel slags, the nickel content should be more than 5%., rough nickel sulphate, rough nickel carbonate, the nickel content should be more than 10% after desiccation, rough nickel chloride, rough nickel nitrate, rough nickel hydroxide, the nickel content should be more than 10% after desiccation cobalt and nickel slags, the cobalt content should be more than 3% and the nickel content should be more than 8%.
2.Trial Order Quantity: One Container

Rough Nickel Salt |
All kinds of nickel salt. Include: nickel sulfate, nickelous chloride, nickelous hydroxide and nickel oxide,etc.. |
5 |
Nickel Dross |
Nickel Dross |
Nickel hearth agglomeration, dross,etc.. |
It's not allowed to mix sealed container, flammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive, radioactive materials and medical waste into waste nickel. The impurities which have influence on environment and radioactive pollution substance in nickel scraps should be controlled according to GB16487.2,GB16487.7, and GB16487.9.
The impurities on the surface of nickel scraps should be eliminated .
The biggest external dimension of lump single waste nickel has not been prescribed in this standard. However, under transportable condition, the biggest external dimension of lump single waste nickel can be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying and indicated in the contract.
The nickel content in nickel and nickel alloy refers to the nickel in the metallic status and nickel alloy, nickel compound should not be contained.
Inspection Methods
The supplying status and cleaning degree of nickel and nickel alloy are always inspected by eyes. If necessary, sample can be taken to measure its unit weight and dimension. The way of supply, the method of deducting impurities, the way of measuring external dimension and single block weight should be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying and indicated in the contract.
The sampling method of scraps and other relative matters should be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying.
Inspection and Acceptance
The inspection for nickel scraps should be carried out by the technical supervision department of buying party, or a third party inspectorate can be consigned to make the inspection (e.g. SGS, Alex Stewart in China). The supplying party should guarantee the quality conforming to this standard or stipulation of this contract and fill in the quality certificates.
Lots
The waste nickel should be submitted for inspection by lots; each lot should be composed of the same category, same group and same grade.
Both waste nickel fragment and waste nickel powder should be packed in packages. Thin nickel alloy scraps or scattered nickel alloy scraps should be supplied in the form of packing or pressing into block.
During the processes of transportation, loading ,unloading and stacking, It's not allowed to mix explosive, flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive materials and trash into waste nickel. The facilities which are polluted by above materials should not be used for loading and unloading. There must be rain protection, snow protection and fire protection facilities if there are special requirements. |
