Purchasing Cobalt and Molybdenum slags
Our company purchases regularly:
1.Cobalt and nickel slags, cobalt mud, rough cobalt sulphate, rough cobalt carbonate, rough cobalt hydroxide, rough cobalt chloride, rough cobalt nitrate and the alloy material with cobalt, nickel and copper contents. The cobalt content should be more than 2% in metal materials and the content should be between 10%-12% in the salt of cobalt and manganese. For Cobalt and nickel scraps, the cobalt content should be more than 3% and the nickel content should be more than 8%.
2.Waste molybdenum catalyst, waste molybdenum compounds, waste molybdenum powder, waste molybdenum materials, and waste molybdenum alloy, etc..(Mo>3%). Waste molybdenum, nickel, vanadium accelerant, and waste catalyst(Mo>3% no limit for other elements).Slags from molybdenum smelter(Mo>3.5%).
Waste Catalyst
The waste catalyst is mainly originated from petroleum industry, chemical industry and so on. The waste catalysts are provided with various categories and different metal contents. There are catalysts mainly made of the following metals such as Mo,Ni,Co,W,Al,Cu,Zn,V,Cr,Sn,and Mg.
The Catalysts we often use and the metal contents are as follows:

It is not allowed to mix sealed container, flammable, explosive, corrosive, radioactive substance and medical waste into cobalt and molybdenum scraps.
The impurities which have influence on environment and radioactive pollution substance in the cobalt and molybdenum slags should be controlled according to GB16487.2,GB16487.7,and GB16487.9.
The impurities on the cobalt and molybdenum slags surface should be eliminated .
Under transportable condition, the biggest external dimension of lump cobalt and molybdenum scraps can be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying and indicated in the contract.
In the cobalt and molybdenum scraps, cobalt and molybdenum content refers to the cobalt and molybdenum existence in metallic state, the cobalt and molybdenum compound should not be contained.
Inspection Methods
The supplying status and cleaning degree of cobalt and molybdenum scraps are always inspected by eyes. If necessary, sample can be taken to measure its unit weight and dimension. The way of supplying cobalt and molybdenum scraps, the method of deducting impurities, the way of measuring external dimension and single block weight should be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying and indicated in the contract.
The sampling method of cobalt and molybdenum scraps and other relative matters should be negotiated and determined by both parties of selling and buying.
Inspection and Acceptance
The inspection for waste cobalt and molybdenum should be carried out by the technical supervision department of buying party, or a third party inspectorate can be consigned to the make the inspection (e.g. SGS, Alex Stwart in China). The supplying party should guarantee the quality conforming to this standard or stipulation of the contract and fill in the quality certificates.
Lots
The cobalt and molybdenum scraps should be submitted for inspection by lots, each lot should be composed by the same category, same group and same grade.
Both waste cobalt and molybdenum fragment and waste cobalt and molybdenum powder should be packed in packages. Thin cobalt and molybdenum alloy scraps or scattered cobalt and molybdenum alloy scraps should be supplied in the form of packing or pressing into block.
Packing & Storage
The bulk cobalt and molybdenum scraps in different categories can not be mixed-loading during transportation.
During the transportation, loading, unloading and stacking, the cobalt and molybdenum scraps should not be mixed with explosive, flammable, corrosive, virulent, radioactive substance and garbage. And also the facilities which are polluted by above materiels should not be used for loading and unloading. There must be rain protection, snow protection and fire protection facilities if there are special requirements. |
