Purchasing Cobalt and Molybdenum slags
Our company purchases the following regularly:
1. Cobalt and nickel slag, cobalt mud, rough cobalt sulfate, rough cobalt carbonate, rough cobalt hydroxide, rough cobalt chloride, rough cobalt nitrate and the alloy material with cobalt, nickel and copper contents. Metal material that include cobalt more than 7%, hydrochloric cobalt and hydrochloric manganese (cobalt content should be between 10%-12%) and so on. For Cobalt and nickel slag, the cobalt content should be more than 3% and the nickel content should be more than 8%.
2. Waste molybdenum catalyst, waste molybdenum compounds, waste molybdenum powder, waste molybdenum materials, and waste molybdenum alloy, etc. (Mo>3%). Waste molybdenum, nickel, vanadium accelerant, and waste catalyst (Mo>3% no limit for other elements).Slag from molybdenum smelter(Mo>3.5%).
Waste Catalyst
The waste catalyst is mainly originated from petroleum industry, chemical industry and so on. The waste catalysts are provided with various categories and different metal contents. There are catalysts mainly made from the following metals such as Mo, Ni, Co, W, Al, Cu, Zn, V, Cr, Sn, and Mg.
The Catalysts we often use and the metal contents are as follows:

It is not allowed to mix sealed container, flammable, explosive, toxic, radioactive substance and medical waste into cobalt and molybdenum slag.
The impurities having influence on environment and radioactive pollution substance in the import cobalt and molybdenum slag should be controlled according to GB16487.2, GB16487.7, and GB16487.9.
The impurities on the cobalt and molybdenum slag surface should be cleaned up.
Under transportable condition, the biggest external dimension of lump cobalt and molybdenum slag can be negotiated and determined by both parties of seller and buyer, and indicated in the contract.
The cobalt and molybdenum in material should exist as metallic state or alloy, not the compound containing cobalt and molybdenum.
Inspection Methods
The status and cleaning degree of cobalt and molybdenum slag are usually inspected by eyes. If necessary, sampling can be taken to measure the weight and dimension. The methods of supplying waste cobalt and molybdenum materials, dealing with impurities, measuring external dimension and single block weight should be negotiated and determined by both parties and stipulated in the contract.
The sampling method of cobalt and molybdenum materials and other relative matters should be negotiated and determined by both parties of seller and buyer.
Inspection and Acceptance
The inspection for waste cobalt and molybdenum materials could be consigned to the third party (such as AHK, SGS, and ALEX STEWART), the seller should guarantee the quality conforming to the stipulation of the contract.
