   China is the most richest country in the antimony resource in the world. The total reserve amount is 278 million MT, which is the No.1 in the world. There are 111 demonstrated reserves and the reserve amount and the producing amount are all NO.1. China's antimony resource are mainly distributed in below provinces: Guangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, guizhou, gansu and Jiangxi, etc.. Their reserved amount is more than 80% of China's total amount. Hunan province is the biggest antimony producing base which produced 33,251MT antimony ore in 2006, 54% of the total amount. According to the distribution diagram of antimony metal and the data of the state Statistical Bureau, the producing capacity of Hunan, Guangxi and Yunnan Province in 2006 is accordingly 59%, 20% and 10% of the total amount. There into, the cumulative production of Hunan Province is 86,781MT, increasing by 14.69% compared with the same time last year. The producing capacity of guangxi and Yunnan province is separately 29,277MT and 14,707MT, increasing by accordingly 15.69% and 28.05% compared with the same time last year.    As to the products that exported, China had exported totally nearly 52,727MT antimony trioxide during the whole year in 2006, decreasing 1.98% compared with the same time last year. But the foreign exchange earned by export is 63.85% of the total amount earned by exported antimony compared with the same time last year. Therefore, the antimony trioxide is still the leading product among the current Chinese antimony products. Simultaneously, the export of antimony metal is greatly increased compared with the year 2004.China has exported about 29,832.9MT, increased by 38.84% compared with the same time before. It is revealed that the greatest exported amount of the antimony and its processing products would be about 63,700MT and the export quotas will probably continue to fall down. In 2006, China's antimony trioxide was mainly exported to Japan, Holland and USA, etc, while antimony ingot was mainly exported to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Holland, etc.
♦China's antimony consumption is the main strength for the increasing ot world's antimony consumption
   It is recorded that in the developed countries, the antimony consumption amount used for flame retardant is about 60-70%, for lead acid batteries, is 10-15% and for chemicals, glass and ceramics, is 10% each in average. But in several years before, China's antimony consumption pattern is: firstly, the antimony metal mainly needed by the automobile industry; secondly, the antimony trioxide consumed by ceramics; lastly the sodium antimonate used in television, computer, glass bulb and optical glass, etc. However, the antimony trioxide used in flame retardant is only about 5-6% of the total antimony consumption amount. China's antimony consumption pattern now has changed a lot after the recent several years' growing development of antimony industry.
